Microsoft is taking steps to strengthen the Communications Competency with a proven methodology using Skype Operations Framework (SOF). SOF provides partner deployment guidance that covers the full customer lifecycle and provides a set of tools and documentation that enables partners to deliver quality customer engagements based on approved Microsoft guidance. The SOF assessment will be required for the Communications Competency for new partners starting on December 12, 2016 and current competency partners as of March 16, 2017. Gold level competency requires two individuals and Silver level requires one individual to have passed the SOF assessment.
