CLP Central Survey: Integrating Voice Within Their Unified Communications Stack and Network Infrastructure Environment Seems to be a Growing Need Among Consultants’ End-User Clients

The results are in! CLP Central’s May/June 2017 Communications Technology Consulting Market survey question focused on the communications network technology solutions and applications that consultants are working on most with their clients. From among 25 communications network solution segments, the chart below shows the top 10 that consultants are helping their clients with today.

The top two, by a ten percent margin, indicate a current focus on voice, namely Unified Communications/VoIP and Voice Networks. Data Networks, SIP/SIP Trunking and Network Infrastructure round out the top five, also suggesting that customers’ UC journeys may now be more telephony driven versus taking an IT-centric approach, i.e., the integration of voice into data networks. Other segments driving consultants’ client engagements include Wireless Networks, Cloud Communications, Mobility, LAN/WAN, and Disaster Recovery.
